Dear Friend and Supporter,

LAFCO voted, June 4, 2009, to deny the annexation proposal put forward by the City of Temecula and let Riverside County continue their environmental review of the proposed Liberty Quarry project.  It was a big day for us, but it was also a victory for common sense, the economy, jobs, lower construction costs, less traffic and less air emissions on our freeways.  It was a victory for all tax payers of Riverside County!!!.

THANK YOU for your support.  It was crucial to the decision.

Shortly, the County’s environmental impact report on Liberty Quarry will be released for public comment.  We will be holding Open House Meetings in Temecula after it’s release.  At these meetings we will have our technical experts available to answer questions that you may have.  We will also make a brief presentation on the contents of the DEIR.

Thanks again for all of those that wrote letters to the Commission, letters to the editor, spread the word, and attended the hearing.  There is movement of large support across the County because of all our supporters efforts.

We look forward to seeing you soon and thank you again.

Sincerely,

Karie Reuther and Gary Johnson
